Britney Xposed answered to our questions about her excellent AI-powered music project !
Can you introduce Britney Xposed to our readers ?
Britney Xposed is my AI artist name. Fronting all of my “albums”. Being inspired by many artists but namely Britney Spears, Bonnie McKee & Myah Marie.
How this project was born ?
Well I’ve always been a writer. Songwriting is something I used to do for fun. But with technology and AI I can bring all my wildest dreams to life. For example my first song “Call The Police” was inspired by an unreleased Britney Spears song called “Police”. So I imagined what I wanted it to sound like and with AI magic it was the start of now 5 albums I’ve written and completed.
Was it obvious to create original songs instead of just remixing existing tracks ?
Yes 100%. posting music on YouTube is always tricky with copyright. Especially with AI. SO writing and creating my own songs means I own them 100%, and I even use titles of Unreleased Britney songs and demos I’ve never even heard to make it even more interesting for my fellow Britney fans listening.
Which kind of univers are you developing with Britney Xposed ?
I think the space I’m developing with Britney Xposed is really deep nostalgic fun. I love feeling nostalgic. I know other people love feeling nostalgic. And I think my songs can really get anyone into feeling like a teen again.
Regarding the lyrics, do you put yourself in Britney Spears' shoes or do you address personal matters ?
Honestly when I’m writing I am trying my best to channel Bonnie McKee. Bonnie is my favorite writer and my favorite artist next to Britney. Bonnie is so clever with her lyrics and I try to do the same. I think songs like “Excuse My French”, “OverDrive” and “Sugar Daddy” really show that.
What is your favorite song to date among those you have created ?
OMG, that’s a hard question ! I would have to say “Excuse My French”. That song had so many different versions because I know a Britney demo with the title and for some reason I kept like putting lyrics of it in the song and I wanted it to be completely different. And tbh it ended up even better than the Britney Demo if I’m honest.
How would you explain the phenomenal pace of your publications ?
A lot of brain power. When I wrote the first 3 albums I was just writing. Now I’m overthinking and trying to be more clever. But I’ve had so many songs lol ideas stuck in my head for so long that it just feels natural to write them. Literally making my wildest dreams come true.
Has this project generated rather positive feedback from the singer's fans ?
For the most part I would say yes. But not everyone is happy about it. Which I get, but I think Britney would even bop to some of the songs so I can live with a little bad feedback.
What would you like to say to your detractors ?
I would say don’t knock a bop until you’ve tried it.
How would you react if Britney Spears recorded one or more of your songs ?
Omg, it’s my absolute Dream ! I actually wrote 2 songs in middle school I was convinced she would record called “Light In The Forest” and “Snake In The Grass”. Maybe they’ll make an appearance on my next album.
Would you see yourself creating a second Xposed project ?
Not a bad idea to be honest. Maybe Hilary Xposed as in Hilary Duff. Another retired Pop Queen.
How do you see the future of Britney Xposed ?
Wow, great question ! I think the future of Britney Xposed is to continue promoting artists as I have for the past 4 years as well as continuing to push myself as a songwriter and get more of my songs placed with artists. I have a couple coming out this year and it’s so crazy to me.
